Because of this weakness in Facebook, more than 20,000 employees of the company could see the password of millions of users in plain text format. In Facebook, this loophole came into the internal system, due to which millions of users were stored in the readable format.

Facebook also said that only the company has seen the passwords of the user to the internal employees, no outsider can access these passwords. Facebook has informed about this through a blog yesterday that due to this leak, the passwords of 10 thousand thousand thousands of Instagram users have been affected. Let us know that Facebook had earlier told that only 10 thousand Instagram users' passwords were affected due to this glitch. Facebook also said in March that the most impact of this password leak has been Facebook Lite users. Passwords of millions of Facebook Lite and Facebook users have been affected due to this internal security glitch.

Earlier, a cyber security firm named UpGuard recently revealed another major Facebook data leak. Describing the Facebook data leak, UpGuard said that 540 million users of 54 million Facebook users were saved on third-party public servers due to which the data of the users became public. However, the security firm did not say whether the data usage of the users was misused or not. This is another big case of data leak that has emerged since last year's Cambridge Analytics data leak dispute.
