After the implementation of new cable TV and DTH rules of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), cable TV and DTH service providers have launched new channel packs for their subscribers. Recently, DishTV has launched 'My own pack' scheme on the basis of this new rule. In which users have to pay 130 for network capacity charge for 100 paid channels. It is 18 percent GST. In this way, the user has to pay a monthly charge of Rs 153.

In this pack of DishTV, users get 100 selected paid channels and 100 free-to-air channels. According to the rules of TRAI, 25 of these 100 channels, Doordarshan will meet. Users can choose free-to-air channels according to their 75 spots remaining. After DishTV, Airtel has also launched a new basic service tier (BST) plan of 130 rupees for its users. This pack has been given two types of packs from which subscribers can choose packs according to their own liking. The first pack is BST ROI (Rest of India) which can subscribe to other than South India subscribers. The second pack is BST South, in which the Channel Packs of South India have been given.

Both of these basic service tier (BST) packs are priced at Rs 130 by TRAI's new cable TV and DTH rules. Apart from this, you have to pay additional GST. Overall, the price of this pack is 153 rupees. Under this new rule in the pack, users get 100 paid channels at 130 rupees (without any taxes). Subscribers from these 100 channels choose any packed channel, then it will be mandatory to take 25 free channels of DD (Doordarshan).

At the same time, talking about the new rules of TRAI, broadcasters can launch their pack of channels accordingly. But they will not include channels whose price is more than 19 rupees. In the same base plan of Airtel, users will get 25 free channels of Doordarshan and 75 other free-to-air channels. At the same time, users can also choose to have paid channels of up to 130 rupees.
